Like you, I have vast experience in dealing with addiction and recovery. I'm not actually an addict myself but both of my children are in recovery. I'm a single mother who dealt with the trials and tribulations of their ongoing addiction for many years, a revolving door of rehabs and treatment, court dates and hospital stays. The never-ending worry, sleepless nights and way too many tears. Trust me- I really do understand.

After my sons umpteenth rehab we decided to try a recovery house. The goal being to get him away from the same people, places, and things so that he could concentrate on learning to live again without the negative influences that kept taking him down.

What we found was that the concept of sober living made a lot of sense. We also found that the majority of the recovery houses in our area were in bad neighborhoods, with little supervision, and questionable standards. Looking at the subpar living environment, I thought that there had to be a better option. But there wasn't... so we decided to do something about it.

Dominate Today Recovery Living is a family run business which was inspired by a desperate need for a quality living environment for recovering addicts in Montgomery County, PA. My vision was not to open a recovery house - but an actual home where people would feel comfortable, supported, and cared for while they battle to overcome their addiction.

We opened our first sober living home in September of 2017 and due to an overwhelming need our second home just a few months later. We currently operate 2 men's and 1 women's recovery house in Pottstown, PA.

Our goal is to help others Dominate their Recovery so that they can live a long and productive life. Families should feel comfortable knowing that their loved one is in a safe and stable environment surrounded by people that understand and support their recovery.

Executive Director - Carey Ballou

Carey grew up as the daughter of a narcotics detective and the step-daughter of a recovering alcoholic who was very active in the local AA Community for over 20 years. Both of her children are recovering addicts and she is dedicated to raising the standard of recovery living.

Carey is a business executive with over 20 years of experience in sales management, marketing, operations and recruiting services. She is the visionary behind Dominate Today and handles most of the daily operations, property development and financials.

Regional Director - Jacob Ballou

Jacob oversees all facets of residential living. This includes on boarding of new residents, facilities management, drug testing, running our weekly house meetings, house management, relationship building with rehabilitation centers, and partnership with the recovery community.

Jacob is a business executive with over 8 years of experience in sales management and marketing. He is also the co-founder of CompendiumFi offering trading tools for multiple different cryptocurrency ecosystems and creator of ReadyRaider for the gaming community. He is currently working on several other projects.
